Blah.

Wednesday (November 11) I spent the day mostly relaxing. I spent some time looking for a job online. The rest of the day I worked on knitting and reading/posting on Weddingbook. I don't really have anything interesting to talk about about Wednesday.

Egg Nog Shakes!!

Tuesday (November 10) was another productive day for me. I got up in the morning, got a shower and got ready to go to town. I mailed out some applications and the book, then I went on a job hunt. I applied at five places. Hopefully, I will hear from SOMEWHERE soon. Bah. After I was done with my job applications I went to WalMart and got some stuff we needed (including Egg Nog because Justin was visiting on the weekend and he hadn't had it yet!).

When I was done with everything in town, I went to McDonald's and got an Egg Nog shake! I am so excited! They are the best and once McDonald's starts selling Egg Nog Shakes I feel like I'm allowed to start preparing for Christmas (and telling people, usually my Christmas shopping is done by now!).

After I got home, I enjoyed my shake while I photographed my jewelry that I want to sell on Etsy. By the time I got done taking my pictures, I didn't have much time to relax before getting ready for the fire meeting.

We had a Firefighter's Association meeting. In fact, somehow I missed out on dinner. Bah! Dad and I went to Cheboygan for the meeting. Wasn't anything too exciting, but it also wasn't too boring. Just nothing worth commenting on I guess. Oh, wait, I did learn to keep my mouth shut in meetings, somehow by saying that they could save money in decorating the hall for the Fireman's Ball by getting decorations wholesale and doing it ourselves, I got stuck doing it. Oh well, I was already on the committee for the party, so it's not like I didn't already sign up for it.

After the meeting Dad and I went to McDonald's because I was whining that I was starving to death. We ate and talked and then we went home. I talked to Justin for a while then went to bed.

Productivity.

Monday (November 9) I did a ton of stuff! I was rather impressed with how productive I was.
I:
  • applied for a few jobs. (*cross your fingers!*)
  • made an appointment with the advisor at NCMC. (I decided to take a few online classes there in the Spring semester so I can have health insurance. I'm a walking accident and the last thing I need is to not have insurance for an extended period of time!)
  • checked to make sure camp with Dad next year wouldn't interfere with Dan and Leah's potential wedding dates. (I'm a groomswoman!)
  • e-mailed a couple people that I had been meaning to for a while now.
  • got a book ready to mail out. (I sell them on Half.)
  • worked on setting up Needs More Sugar. (I need better pictures before I can start selling stuff.)
  • spent some time outside taking pictures of myself and various other things.
  • talked to Justin.
  • went to bed!

Fire Meeting.

Sunday (November 8) I had to get up early to get ready and head up north. I got up and got my shower, hung out with Justin for a quick minute while I was finishing putting makeup on and packing my stuff. I finally said goodbye and headed north.

I got home just in time for the fire meeting. We didn't really do anything exciting at the meeting. We have a new member, so we got him set up with gear and then just sat around talking for a couple hours. After the guys all left, I did the weekly air station run and filled a bottle up. Nothing too interesting.

When I got home I surfed the internet for a while, talked to Justin and worked on my to-do list for the next day. And I went to bed kinda early because I had so much I wanted to get done on Monday.

Mansion Visiting.

Saturday (November 7) Justin and I got up long before Dan and Leah did, so we played a few games of War. I had THE most EPIC comeback ever in one of the games. I was down to one card, ONE CARD, an ace, and I came back to WIN the game! That's right WIN the game. I was rather impressed, and so was Justin. And yes, we war often. :)

When Dan and Leah got up we (Justin, Dan and I) decided to go get coffee while Leah got ready. Justin didn't drink coffee before we got together but I'm slowly convincing him it's a good thing. :) I don't drink it nearly as much as I used to but it is sooooo good. When we got back to the apartment Leah was ready to go, so we all left. She was heading to spend the day with her mom and we were heading to my Aunt Miriam's for lunch.

On our way, Dan asked if I wanted to stop to see a mansion on Oakland's campus, of course I said yes. I have quite the fascination with old buildings. And huge buildings. Moreso old ones though. . . anyhow we went to see this one. We couldn't get in because we were too late for the tour, which was fine because we didn't have a ton of time anyhow. It was 88,000+ square feet with over 100 rooms. Isn't that insane?!? I took a ton of pictures from the outside. Then we headed on to Miriam's house. Rachel was there with her friends from college so the group of us all ate lunch. Then I got a shower and got ready for the day (at like 4!).

Shortly after I got ready, we left to go to dinner at Dan and Leah's friends' house. I was looking forward to having dinner with them and hanging out with them. Dinner was great, company was great. But leaving was awful. Surprisingly, I held back my tears, but saying bye to Dan was hard. Of anyone in my life aside from my parents, he is the person I have been closest to for the longest time.

Justin and I headed back to Kalamazoo a little later than we had hoped, but that was ok. We hung out at the apartment for a little bit before going to bed.

Goodbye Party.

Friday (November 6) I slept in a bit then started getting ready to leave for the night. When Justin got home we got our stuff and ourselves ready to go to Sterling Heights for the night. My cousin, Dan, (the one who was going to be and one day will be my Maid *er* Man of Honor) is moving. So we were going over for his going-away party. He got a job with border patrol and will be going to New Mexico and Arizona for training for about a year and a half and then he will be stationed in Washington. =( I'm happy that he has the opportunity and proud that he got the job, but very very very very very sad that the person that I have been closest to for the longest amount of time at any point in my life will be moving so effing far away from me! I used to whine about the fact that he lived in Sterling Heights! Bah! Oh well, I see more long ass phone conversations in our future!

Anyhow, so we headed over. I finished my scarf in the car and we met them at the pool hall where they were having the party. We had dinner with Mary, a relative of mine, at the party. It was nice seeing her and catching up. We spent the rest of the time at the pool hall hanging out with Rachel (Dan's sister) who I also love dearly and she also lives too damn far away (she's going to college at Cedarville). At 10, all the minors had to leave, so we all left. We went to another bar (Dan, Leah, Justin, a few of Dan's friends and I). We hung out there for a bit before heading back to Leah's apartment for the night.

Dan, Leah, Justin and I ate pizza and spent some time talking and just hanging out before we decided it was time for bed.

Roadhouse.

Thursday (November 5) I spent my day working on my scarf and watching Law and Order. I know, I sound like a broken record don't I? But while I'm in Kalamazoo during the week there isn't much else for me to do. Justin and the rest of my friends have school during the day, or work. . . so I just hang out and watch tv shows and knit.

When Dan got home we watched Clerks and I continued to knit until Justin got home. Once he was home we made dinner and it got done just in time for Suvivor, so we watched that and ate. When we were done eating we knitted until Katie and Sarah were ready to go out.

We had planned on going to Waldo's but we couldn't get a seat so we decided to just go to the Roadhouse. We hung out there for a couple hours, talking and enjoying ourselves. (Minus Katie and Justin's constant bickering!) Shortly after we got home it was bedtime.

Reminiscing.

Wednesday (November 4) I got up and made my breakfast, I ate part of it and started Law and Order. Then I went in the bathroom and when I got out Justin was sitting on the couch with lunch that he picked up for me! I was so happy to see him, but so sad that I had just started eating! Oh well. I saved the lunch he brought me and ate my breakfast while cuddling and talking with him.

He went back to school and I worked on my knitting and watched SVU. I finished my hat! I was so excited. So I started my scarf (a new one, not the first one I started). Krissi came up and hung out with me for a while. She ate her dinner and we talked about a bunch of random stuff. She had to leave to go to a concert so I got a shower and got ready for whatever might happen that night. (I never know if we are going out or staying in or having people over or whatever.) When I got out of the shower Dan was home so we hung out while I knitted until Justin got home.

When he got there we made dinner (note, Justin RARELY gets home before 8). We ate and watched Cougar Town. After we were done eating I started knitting and Justin said he could do it so I had him show me, and just from watching me he learned how. So he worked on the old scarf and I worked on the new one while we hung out. Then we got ready and went to bed.

While we were laying in bed we spent a few hours reminiscing about our relationship. The beginning: the night of our first kiss, the night he knew that it would be more than just a summer fling (we spent most of the night standing in front of my balcony door watching the crazy storm outside), the night that we decided to make it official, how sad I was when I discovered I was moving, how pissed I was at myself for having feelings for him (This relationship wasn't supposed to be like this!), the day that I was certain I was in love with him, the weekend I knew I wasn't going to let him go and the actual day I told him I loved him (and he reciprocated, of course). (Yes, I linked you to all of those days in my blog!) I really cannot express in words (Nor would I try on here for fear that ya'll would puke all over my blog!) how much I love him and how happy I am with him. But neither of us can wait until this long distance crap is over.

Day of Movies.

Tuesday (November 3) I slept in again (man I really do love Simply Sleep). When I got up I knitted and watched an episode of Law and Order. Then I decided the apartment needed some help. So I cleaned the kitchen, did the dishes, cleaned up the living room, folded laundry and organized my stuff.

Then I watched Made of Honor and knitted some more. I really liked MoH. It was a very predictable movie, but enjoyable. When it was over I got a shower and got ready for whatever could come my way. I watched House Bunny and knitted some more. It was an ok movie. I don't feel like I wasted an hour and a half of my life, but I wouldn't run out and buy it either. Toward the end of the movie, Dan, Justin's roommate, got home from school. He had rented a few movies and wanted to watch them, so I said I would watch them with him. And I knitted of course. We watched Inkheart first. It was an ok movie. It had a great story, but kinda dragged out.

We watched I Love You, Man next. It was so good, by far my favorite of the day. Justin came home near the end of it. He said he was craving spinach and artichoke dip so we went out to Applebees to eat. It was nice to have some alone time to talk and just hang out. We don't really have much time like that in the apartment because he has three roommates. We enjoyed hanging out one on one and talking.

When we got home we watched tv for a bit and then went to bed.

Sleep!!

Monday (November 2) I woke up when Justin left for school just long enough to say I love you and give him a kiss. Then I rolled over and went back to sleep, I slept until I couldn't sleep any longer. When I woke up I worked on knitting and watched a bunch of SVU. Oh and I worked on uploading pictures from the weekend.

I hung out with Justin's roommates in the evening until he got home. Knitting and watching either TV or SVU the whole time.

When he got home we had mac and cheese and watched the CBS comedy shows from eight til ten. I have watched them forever (even though they have changed a few times). Some are better than others (BBT, HIMYM and 2.5 Men are definitely better than Accidentally on Purpose). After our shows were over we hung out together before heading to bed.

IHOP for HOURS.

Sunday, Justin and I slept in for a bit. When we got up we ate and spent some time not doing anything. Then we watched Taking Lives. Which is one of my favorite movies EVER! :) Once again, if you haven't yet watched it, you NEED to!

After we were done watching the movie, I took a shower and got ready to go places. But of course that took us a while, we spent some time just sitting around enjoying each other's company before leaving. We needed to go to Toys 'R' Us to do some shopping for Jeremiah's birthday. We got his gift from me and a gift for my parents to give him.

Since we were on that side of town we decided to go to IHOP to eat. We ended up spending like four hours there talking and yeah, just talking. Talking about anything and everything we could think of, I love talking to him. I love spending time with him. I just plain love him. While we were talking at IHOP we were discussing how I would be going home the next day then coming back down on Thursday, so I called Mom to see if she needed her car this week and if she didn't if it would be ok with her if I stayed in Kalamazoo for the week. After talking to her and Dad it was decided that I would be staying here with Justin for the week. I needed some groceries if that was what I was going to do.

So, when we left IHOP, we went to Meijer to get the stuff I needed. When we got home we talked for a bit longer before we went to bed.

Dia de los Muertos Party.

Happy Halloween!!

Saturday, Justin and I tried to sleep in. Well he did, I tried, unsuccessfully. I've mentioned before that I just don't sleep well, and I don't know why. I sleep the best at home, in my own bed, with Justin there. But it doesn't happen often enough! Anyhow, when we got up we had breakfast (or lunch if you are Justin) and watched a movie, Lucky Number Slevin. It is definitely one of my favorite movies, ranks in the top 10 for me. If you haven't seen it, you should.

After the movie, we went to Spice Rice with the girls from four. It's a Chinese restaurant, not Mexican, for those of you who think like Katie! ;) Hanging out with those three girls and Justin, what more could I ask for? Oh wait, BESIDES not having to listen to Justin and Katie fight the ENTIRE time. After dinner, we dropped the girls off and went on a pumpkin hunt, unfortunately it was a very unsuccessful hunt. . . I am so sad we didn't get to carve pumpkins this year!! :D

When we got back, we spent some time working on our second costume (two peas in a pod). We needed to sew some velcro onto our shirts and pod. I was exhausted, so Justin offered to finish up the costumes while I took a nap. He really IS the best. I needed a nap in order to be even half way functional at the party that night. I woke up just in time to get ready, and the costumes were completely done. And done well, especially when you consider I had just taught him to sew, and I barely know how!

We got our costumes on, and I added some make-up. And we headed to the party, which this time, conveniently was downstairs. Our costume turned out great (I think). We had a fun party and enjoyed our time together, which was great because none of us expected it to happen, because we were all exhausted from the night before. lol.

Nightmare on Monroe Street.

Friday, we went on a search for some of our Halloween stuff that we hadn't yet been able to find. We got what we needed then went to Big Apple for lunch. It was incredibly yummy. After lunch Justin dropped me off at the apartment then headed to school. I wasn't at the apartment five minutes before Katie and Sarah decided they were ready to go. I had told them I would go with them to get groceries and run various other errands. We had to go to the dollar store and Hobby Lobby to get stuff for their costumes.

When we were done, we went to Noodles for lunch. I wasn't hungry, so I just got a gigantic rice krispie treat. We talked and ate and enjoyed ourselves, then we went to Hardings so they could get groceries. It started POURING rain. Bad! So we ran with groceries and got soaking wet.

We went back to the apartment and worked on our costumes. I made my hat and Katie worked on Sarah's costume while Sarah baked. After those were done, Sarah and I ran to Meijer to get some stuff that we had forgotten and then to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff for Katie's costume that she had lost.

We got back just as Justin was getting home from school. We ate dinner and hung out for a bit before we needed to get ready for the party. We got our costumes on and made sure we had everything together. Krissi came up and said she wanted to go to BK so we went with her and then came back and went to the party, which conveniently was next door.

The party was a blast, the costumes were great. I went as Candy Corn, technically Indian Corn (treat) and Justin went as a magician (trick). It went well into the night and plenty of crazy stuff happened, plenty of crazy stuff I won't be discussing here (for the sake of those involved). :)

Back in Kalamazoo.

Thursday I got up and got my butt in gear. I needed to do laundry and pack for my trip to Kalamazoo. I had to go down for Halloween weekend! :) So I did my laundry, packed my stuff, got my shower and got ready. In that time period, my cousin Dan called and I had a couple long-ish talks with my parents which made me late leaving, but it wasn't a huge deal.

My drive down was rather uneventful, I got here a little before 7. Justin and I needed to go to Hobby Lobby to get stuff for our costume, so we went there and got the stuff we needed then went to Target to get some more Halloween stuff, but couldn't find what we needed. We got back home just before Survivor started. We watched it, then Krissi came up and said hi. I talked to her for a bit and then she left.

Justin and I just hung out at the apartment for the night. We worked on our costume for a while, got it most of the way done. It's so nice to be able to spend time with him. Long distance really does suck, bad.

Hat - Finished!

22. learn to knit and/or crochet.

Wednesday I worked on the hat while I watched SVU. Mom had a doctor's appointment so Dad and her took the car and were in town for the entire day. I finished the hat, aside from the stitching that had to be done to pull it together, but I needed to wait for mom to get home for me to do that since I didn't know how.

While I waited, I did more knitting (scarf) and watched more SVU. I eventually got a shower and got ready so when Mom and Dad got home I could go to town. I needed to get stuff for the weekend, especially Purell and Emergen-C. Justin's roommate Dave had told us all he had H1N1 and I really can't afford to get it, so I was taking all the precautions I can.

When they finally got home, I took the car and went into town. I got the stuff I needed and went back home. Mom helped me finish the hat. I was so happy to have it done! And I know Justin was as well when I told him, we talked for a whole before we decided it was time for bed.
