Ok, anyhow. Yesterday (Friday) was great! Justin and I got up and had breakfast with my parents then I packed for the weekend then we just kinda hung out around here waiting for Tom to call. Tom is Justin's friend. We are at his cottage on Lake Huron in Cheboygan for the weekend. That's right, I'm vacationing like 20 minutes from my parents' house. Once Tom called we headed out there. The cottage is gorgeous. We immediately left again to go get groceries for the weekend. Grocery shopping with three boys is definitely an interesting experience, especially after being surrounded by girls for as long as I have been. When we got back the boys decided to go swimming. Let me paint you a picture. I have a fall jacket on, and jeans, and I am freezing. Insanity I tell you, insanity. Well then I felt the water and decided it wasn't that bad but I left my swimsuit at home and packed a long sleeved shirt in it's place.
After their swim, Rockband was played. I opted to watch in amazement rather than play. I am no where near as good as they are and would rather watch than embarass myself. After Rockband we sat around and talked for a bit then had tacos for dinner. Once our stomachs were full and we were content we played some ping pong, powersphere (I took pictures), Mad Gab and cards. I ended up losing one section of one of the card games and ended up having to go swimming. Ugh. It was so so so so so sooooooo cold. Mind you, this was now almost 2 am. FREEZING. Tom went with me and actually carried me out as far as I went so I wouldn't have to walk in in it. After the freezing swim I changed into the warmest clothes I owned and we played some more ping pong before heading to bed.
Even though we are only 20 minutes from my parents house this is a much needed vacation after the last week and a half or so. It is nice to get away and not have to think about moving, packing, unpacking, the distance from my other halves (Justin and Katie), painting, and all the other stuff on my mind. It's nice to have this time with Justin when we both know our time together could be fairly limited in the future. I also enjoyed meeting a couple of his friends. They are both really nice and I'm looking forward to the rest of the weekend!
Here are the pictures of the day:
