Happy Birthday Lisa!

Happy Birthday Lisa!
(I know this is a day early, but it's when we celebrated!)

Saturday (November 21) we were supposed to get up early to go to Grand Haven, but because we didn't go to bed until like 5 am, we decided against an early morning. When we did get up at like 11, we got our showers and packed our stuff for the night. Then we headed out. On our way out of town we stopped at Big Apple Bagel and got breakfast. We also stopped at Meijer to get some stuff we needed there. If you have not yet experienced Meijer on Saturday around noon, you need to. That is, if you are in Kalamazoo, I'm not sure if it's the same level of insanity everywhere. There are so many effing people and no one is polite, bah!

Anyhow, we got to Grand Haven and had to stop at the Hallmark to get proper wrapping items. Justin sucks at this whole making things look nice game. He did have wrapping paper (that I gave him for my birthday present), but I found some I liked better anyhow.

We went to his parents' house and hung out for a bit while I wrapped Lisa's gifts up. Shortly after I was done we headed to Lisa's, where we were meeting everyone to head to Holland. While we were there we got to meet her new kitten, Odin. He is adorable and sooo small! It reminded me of when Kallie showed up at my door. I can't believe that was over two years ago already!

Once everyone showed up we headed to Holland to the Lost City. I worked on my Christmas knitting on the way. I swear, I'm quickly turning into a ninety year old woman. When we got there we walked around the arcade for a bit, Justin and I played some shooting game that I sucked at and then we got ready for laser tag.

I had never played before that day. And I sucked. I know it's not rocket science, but I was awful at it!! Oh well. After a couple games of that we spent some more time in the arcade part before heading to Johnny Carino's. The food was great and hanging out with Lisa's friends was fun. They are no 409 but they were still cool. ;) After Johnny Carino's, we took a few guys back to their car, somehow we ended up with seven people in Justin's car. We only had to go across the road but it was still hilarious, especially for Justin and I seeing how we were in the front seat and didn't have to share our space with anyone else.

After we dropped the guys off we headed back to Grand Haven to the Pavilion for drinks, hanging out, dancing and fun. We met some crazy people there. Some blonde chick that none of us knew drug me out on the dance floor and went insane. Then some weird guy had bacon (we still don't know what was up with that) and then came over and started trying to give Lisa a massage, luckily one of her friends came to her rescue. Let's see, what else? We graffitied the wall (it's allowed, don't worry Mom), played the finger game, and Lisa and I finally had a chance to talk, which was really good. Most of you won't understand the significance of that, and if you don't, you don't need to. When the bar closed, we headed home for the night.
